Katie Galloway
Sustainability + Client Experience Lead
Katie Galloway has worked in the environmental field for over 20 years, holding roles in the corporate, nonprofit, and public sectors. She spent nearly a decade working in Aveda Corporation’s Earth and Community Care department, most recently serving as Director of the Aveda Earth Fund and Stakeholder Relations. Her work for Aveda included managing the company’s philanthropic programs, developing ethical and responsible sourcing standards, and sustainability goal setting and reporting.
She also worked closely with marketing, sales, and retail teams to develop authentic storytelling and consumer engagement campaigns related to the brand’s sustainability initiatives. Katie’s work with Aveda helped the company enhance brand equity, create shared value among the company’s many stakeholders, and achieve bottom-line results.
In addition to her work in corporate sustainability, Katie has served as an employee, board member, and active volunteer with several environmental NGOs including the Minnesota Environmental Fund, Climate Generation, and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. She has undergraduate degrees in biology and environmental science from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Master’s in Natural Science and Environmental Education from Hamline University.
A champion of sustainability and environmental responsibility, Katie lives her values at home by working to foster a love of nature in her three young children. She enjoys traveling, camping, running, yoga, and gardening and is passionate about inspiring others to learn about and care for this world we all share.
